Earn credits by growing the community
Invite a friend — when they book or offer a service, you both benefit. Credits are platform currency worth $1 each, never expire, and can be applied toward bookings or subscription months.
Unlocks after your first completed booking. Up to 5 invite emails per day.
Bookings between you and someone you referred don't earn credit — the reward is for bringing a new person to PetHour, so it releases on a booking with someone outside your referral pair. Credits also don't stack with other offers: while a promotional subscription price is running they can't be applied to a subscription month, but they keep their full value on bookings and never expire.
Pet owners pay just a 10% service fee
No subscriptions, no membership fees. Owners pay the sitter's listed rate plus a transparent 10% platform fee — shown clearly at checkout, never hidden. Example: a $60 dog walk costs the owner $66. The sitter receives $60 in full.

Common questions
When does billing start?
Explorer is free — a card is saved when you go live but isn't charged while you're just listed. Your first month of Pro is billed automatically the first time you accept work: confirming a booking, accepting a Last Minute request, or accepting a backup standby invite. You'll see a clear confirmation screen before the charge. It's non-refundable — even if the owner later cancels or picks someone else, you keep the full Pro month.
Can I get auto-upgraded?
Yes. If your 3-month average GMV crosses $650, the system upgrades you to Growth at your next billing cycle. At $1,300 average, you move to Elite. You receive 7 days' notice before any auto-upgrade.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing cycle. Your search placement then drops to free-tier rank for 30 days. You cannot cancel if you have confirmed bookings beyond your cycle end date.
Can I downgrade my plan?
Yes, always at your request — the system never force-downgrades. You cannot downgrade during your first mandatory month. If your average has fallen, we'll surface the option; you decide whether to accept.
Do I keep 100% of my service rate?
Yes. The 10% platform fee is charged to the owner on top of your listed rate. You receive exactly what you set. PetHour earns from owners, not from a cut of your earnings.
What is the backup booking network?
Owners can add up to 3 backup sitters to any booking. Any sitter can be picked as a backup — Growth and Elite sitters rank higher in owners' suggested lists. You earn $2.50 per standby you accept. If the main sitter drops out and you take over, you receive the full booking fee.
What are Care Bundles?
Care Bundles let Pro, Growth, and Elite sitters sell multiple services together at a discounted combined price. Owners pay upfront — no date needed at checkout. A private chat room unlocks immediately so you can coordinate scheduling directly. Payment is held in escrow and released to you as each service in the bundle is completed and confirmed.
How do E-Gift Certificates work?
Any verified PetHour member (identity + phone confirmed) can send a prepaid gift of $5–$500 to any email address. The recipient redeems a code and the credit lands in their wallet — usable on any booking or Care Bundle. Gifts are refundable within 30 days if unredeemed. Once redeemed, credits are platform-only and cannot be cashed out.
